Second Life

Months after first hearing about it and commenting that this was probably the future of the whole MySpace/blogging phenomenon, I have finally joined Second Life.

I am of course rather coy about the fact that I am coming to the party a bit late. But the reason I write is that as soon as I join Second Life the bloody thing crashes. Maintenance issues or something.

I'm trying not to take it personally.

Alex, don't consider yourself late to the party on this one. Most PR pros -- in fact most people -- have still not adopted use of this medium.

Last I saw, there were over 700,000 people registered in Second Life. Considering there are over 6,000,000,000 people in the world, I'd say you are still an early adopter.

That is not to minimize Second Life. I think it has potential. Still, the concept is in its infancy.

Let us know what you think. Never having tried it myself, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
